A Turkish prisoner identified as Ebrahim Zamharir, who was sentenced to death on drug-related crime charges, was executed in Tabriz Central Prison. Simultaneously, the death sentence of another prisoner identified as Reza (unknown family name) charged with first-degree murder was executed in Ghezel Hesar prison.
According to a report received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, on Wednesday, November 22, 2023, the death sentence of 48-year-old Ebrahim Zamharir was carried out in Tabriz central prison.
According to the Iran Organization of Human Rights (IHR), this prisoner, who was a father, was taken into custody three years ago because of drug-related crimes and subsequently sentenced to death.
Furthermore, on Wednesday, November 22, 2023, the death sentence of a Tehran-residing inmate identified as Reza was executed in Ghezel Hesar prison.
Based on the information on the Rokna website, 12 years ago, this inmate murdered his brother's wife by interfering in their disputes. Subsequent to his apprehension, he was sentenced to death by the judicial system of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
