Qashang Ahmadi, from Sanandaj, was abducted by the Islamic Republic of Iran’s government forces. Her fate is unknown.

According to reports received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, on Wednesday, October 26, 2022, on the same day of the 40th-day death anniversary of Zhina Amini, government forces abducted Qashang Ahmadi, 57, in Sanandaj’s Ferdawsi street.

Hengaw learned that this 57-year-old woman had a brief phone call with her family 48 hours after her kidnapping.

Qashang Ahmadi, in this short call with her family, has said: "I’m in prison, but I don’t know where I am being kept."

Hengaw has received reports that, despite the fact that the authorities didn't provide any information to the families of abducted people about their whereabouts and fate, they have threatened these families not to report the detentions to the media.
