Qadir Paknahad and Kaiwan Nabi, two civil rights activists from Piranshahr, were abducted by government forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran and taken somewhere unknown.

These two Piranshahr-based civil rights activists were abducted by IRI forces on Saturday, November 12, 2022, according to a report that the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights received.

Hengaw was informed by reliable sources that Qadir Paknahad, a well-known environmental and civil rights activist, was abducted by government forces on the way from Piranshahr to Naghadeh, and Kaiwan Nabi was abducted at his residence.

No information regarding the fate or whereabouts of these two citizens has been published by authorities yet.

One of Piranshahr's best-known activists, Kader Paknahad, has made a remarkable and consistent contribution to the city's civil rights and environmental movements.

It should be noted that Qadir Paknahad has previously been arrested and questioned by authorities.
