Azad and Sirius Abbasi, two brothers from Dehgolan who are regarded as significant civil rights activists in this city, were transferred to Sanandaj Central Prison after spending 32 days in solitary detention.

According to the report that the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights received, the civil rights activists Sirius Abbasi and Azad Abbasi were recently transferred to Sanandaj's central prison after spending 32 days in solitary confinement in the detention center of the Sanandaj Intelligence Department.

These two well-known activists were taken by Iranian security forces in Dehgolan on September 21, 2022. Additionally, Azad Abbasi's wife, Sirwa Rahmani, an English teacher, was also abducted at the same time as these two activists and freed on bail two weeks later.

According to the reports, government forces severely assaulted Sirius Abbasi while they were abducting him.
