Arresting Arasto Mullah Rahimi and transferring him to Mahabad Prison

Hengaw: Arastoo Mullah Rahimi, a civil activist from Mahabad, was arrested and transferred to the city's central prison.

According to a report received by Hengaw, the Human Rights Organization. Arasto  Mullah Rahimi, a civil activist from Mahabad, had previously been sentenced to 7 months and 16 days of imprisonment. He was arrested and sent to the Mahabad central prison to serve his sentence on Saturday, November 20, 2021. 
Arasto (Rasoul) Mullah Rahimi was arrested on Saturday, January 23, 2021, after being summoned to the press office of the Mahabad Intelligence Office and was released on bail after a week of detention.

This civil activist was sentenced to 31 months and 16 days in prison by the Revolutionary Court of this city in early March 2021 on charges of "membership in the Kurdistan Democratic Party of Iran" and  "7 months and 16 days in prison on charges of "propaganda against the regime," including the days of previous detention.

Arasto Mullah Rahimi was later acquitted for being a member of the Kurdish Democratic Partyof Iran by Branch 13 of the Court of Appeals of West Azerbaijan Province (Urmia); therefore, his prison sentence was reduced to 7 months and 16 days.
