Fate of two arrested citizens from Sanandaj and Piranshahr is unclear

Hengaw: Two citizens from Piranshahr and Sanandaj were arrested by IRGC forces last week. Their fate is not clear yet.

According to the report received by Hengaw Human Rights Organization, on Monday, August 31, 2020, IRGC forces in Naghadeh arrested a citizen from "Sanjaleh" village, a region in Lajan near Piranshahr, in West Azarbaijan Province, identified as "Bayazid Ghaderi Choupan" and transferred him to an unknown place.

According to an informed source, IRGC searched Bayazid Ghaderi Choupani's house. Since he was arrested he was only allowed to contact his family briefly once and had to speak in Persian.

The informed source announced that Bayazid Ghaderi Choupani was arrested for being charged as a member of one of the opposition Parties of Kurdistan.

Furthermore, last weekend a citizen from Hassan Abad town in Sanandaj, Kurdistan Province, identified as "Saber Salehi" was arrested by IRGC.

Saber Salehi is an artist from Sanandaj. His family have tried to contact him several times but the security forces did not give them any information.
