Hengaw: With the arrest of at least five other citizens in the cities of Diwandara, Sananj and Piranshahr, the number of recent detainees in Kurdistan has reached 49.

According to a report received by Hengaw Human Rights Organization, on Tuesday, August 10, 2021, security forces arrested three citizens of the village of "Gorgul Olya" in Piranshahr, named "Abdarrahman Ghaderi", Mozaffar Ahmadi "and" Arsalan Pourmohammad ". Have.

It is worth mentioning that Muzaffar Ahmadi was released a few hours after his arrest and two other people were transferred to an unknown place and their fate remains unknown.

On the other hand, on Monday, August 9, a citizen from Diwandara, identified as "Omid Sarafraz", was arrested by IRGC intelligence forces and transferred to a security detention center in Sanandaj.

Also, on Sunday, August 2, a citizen from Tangisar village and a resident of Sanandaj, identified as "Kavan Mahmoudian", was arrested by the city's intelligence service and his fate remains unknown.
It is worth mentioning that Kavan Mahmoudian was previously arrested on charges of "collaborating with the Kurdistan Free Life Party (PJAK)" and was sentenced to one year in prison.

At the time of preparation of this report, the reason for the arrest of the four citizens and the charges against them are unknown.

According to statistics recorded by the Statistics and Documentation Center of the Human Rights Organization, since the beginning of August, at least 51 Kurdish citizens have been detained by the security services of the Islamic Republic of Iran, two of whom have been released and the rest are still in custody.
