Hengaw: Following the wave of arrests of Kurdish citizens in Sanandaj, another citizen from Niar village of the East Javroud region in Sanandaj was arrested.

According to a report received by Hengaw Human Rights Organization,  on Saturday, May 1, 2021, the Iranian intelligence forces in Sanandaj arrested a Kurdish citizen  identified as "Payam Manbari", 33, and transferred him to an unknown location.

According to an informed source, the Iranian security forces detained Payam Manbari in front of the door of Behesht Mohammadi Cemetery in Sanandaj, while attending to a funeral.

As of preparation of this report , the reason for his arrest and the charges against him are not clear.

According to statistics recorded by the Statistics and Documentation Data Center of Hengaw Human Rights Organization, at least 11 Kurdish citizens from Sanandaj have been arrested  by the Iranian security forces over the past week, three of whom were from the village of Nair .
