Hengaw : Two well-known labour activists from Saqqez were arrested after being summoned to the city's Public and Revolutionary Prosecutor's Office.

Mahmoud Salehi and Osman Ismaili, two well-known labour activists from Saqqez, were arrested on May 16, 2021, after being summoned to the Third Branch of the Public and Revolutionary Prosecutor's Office in the city.

According to an informed source, these two labour activists has been tried on charges of "publishing photos and videos related to May 1, International Workers' Day" and a bail of 40 million Tomans( $2000) has been required for their temporary release.

  Osman Ismaili and Mahmoud Salehi have also stated that they do not accept any warrant and are therefore still in detention.
