Hengaw: A civil activist from Mahabad was released after four years of confinement in the city's central prison.

On Satureday, November 18, Omid Dabaghchi Mokri, civil activist from Mahabad having spent all his sentence was released, based on the report of Hengaw Organisation for Human Rights.

Omid Dabaghchi Mokri was arrested by Iran's security forces in 2014 on charge of participating in street demonstrations condemning Parinaz Khosravani's suspicious death and sentenced to 4 years of nonsuspended confinement by Mahabad's first branch revolutionary court.

During his time he was deprived of the right to have provisional leave or time off.

Parinaz Khosravani died in an suspicious incident falling from Tara Hotel's third floor in 2014 which the day after it led to people's demonstration in front of the hotel, burning the whole building and ended in security forces's shooting. 25 citizens were injured, tens of citizens arrested and one was killed in the demonstrations.
