Hengaw: Urmia's Revolutionary court denied Osman Mostafapour's request for parole. He's a political prisoner from Piranshahr and has been jailed for almost three decades.

Osman Mostafapour, Kurdish political prisoner in Urmia's central prison after being in jail for 28 years asked for probation which was denied by Urmia's Revolutinary court, based on the report of Hengaw Organisation for Human Rights.

"On Tuesday, November 6, Osman Mostafapour was officially informed that his request for probation had been denied by Urmia's Revolutionary court", said a source with information from the prison.

Osman Mostafapour born in 1967, was arrested on July 14, 1991 on charge of accessory to murder and sentenced to capital punishment by judge Javaheri. The verdict was reduced to 10 years of confinement in 2000.

He was summoned to Urmia's third branch Revolutionary court in 1991 on the charge of cooperating with Democratic Party of Kurdistan of Iran and sentenced to 25 years of confinement.

Osman Mostafapour's been in jail for 28 years without a single day time off. He was sentenced to 35 years of confinement for his 2 different cases
