Bahauddin Mostafa Nejad, a political prisoner from Piranshahr, was released on parole from Urmia Central Prison on Thursday, May 5, 2022, after serving a third of his two-year sentence. 
 
Bahauddin Mostafa Nejad, 30, from Barkamran village in Piranshahr, was arrested by IRGC intelligence forces in Piranshahr on Saturday, August 7, 2021, without providing a warrant, and was transferred to the security facility's detention center in Urmia. 
 
The political prisoner was transferred to Urmia Central Prison after two months of interrogation and was denied access to a lawyer and family visits during his detention. 
 
Bahauddin Mostafainejad was finally sentenced to two years in prison by Branch one of the Urmia Military Court on Thursday, November 18, 2021, on charges of "collaborating with the Kurdistan Democratic Party of Iran," and his sentence was upheld by an appeals court.
