Two Kurdish Kurdish citizens arrested by IRGC intelligence in Oshnaviyeh

Hengaw: A former political prisoner from Oshnaviye  and another citizen were arrested by Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps intelligence forces.

According to a report received by Hengaw Human Rights Organization, on Tuesday, June 8, 2021, a citizen from Oshnaviyeh district of West Azerbaijan (Urmia) province , identified as "Omid Tay", was arrested by the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps intelligence forces in this city and transferred to an unknown location.

On the other hand, on Wednesday, June 9, Jafar Hassanpour, a 42-year-old citizen from the village of "Kani Rash" in Oshnaviyeh, was also arrested after being summoned by the IRGC office in this city.

As of preparation of this report, the reason or reasons for the detention and whereabouts of the two Kurdish citizens are unknown.

It is worth mentioning that Omid Tay was arrested by the intelligence services in January 2019 and sentenced to 30 months in prison by the judiciary and was released after two years.
