Prisoner executed in Kermanshah Central Prison

The death sentence of a prisoner named Behrouz Safari Qaleh Zanjiri, a resident of the city, who had previously been sentenced to death by the judicial system of the Islamic Republic of Iran for the charge of “premeditated murder,” was carried out in Dizelabad Prison in Kermanshah. The death sentences of six other prisoners were also carried out, and Hengaw is currently investigating these reports.
According to a report received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, at dawn on Wednesday, February 26, 2025, the death sentence of Behrouz Safari Qaleh Zanjiri, 34 years old and a resident of Qaleh Zanjir village in Dalahu County, was carried out in Dizelabad Prison in Kermanshah. He was a member of the Yarsan religious minority.
According to a source close to the Safari Qaleh Zanjiri family, the prisoner had been arrested four years ago on charges of premeditated murder and was ultimately sentenced to death by the judicial system of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
Additionally, according to reports received by Hengaw, the death sentences of six other prisoners were carried out at the same time as this prisoner. Hengaw is currently investigating this matter.
So far, the news of the execution of this prisoner has not been announced in state media, especially those close to the judiciary.
