Hengaw – Thursday, October 23, 2025

The identities of two additional prisoners, including a woman, executed in Isfahan Central Prison (Dastgerd) have been confirmed as Saeedeh Khodadadi and Abdolreza Gholami, bringing the total number of executions in the prison to five. The identities of three other executed prisoners had previously been verified.

According to information received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, at dawn on Wednesday, October 22, 2025, the death sentences of Saeedeh Khodadadi, approximately 40 years old and a resident of Isfahan, and Abdolreza Gholami, 29, from Khomeinishahr, were carried out in Isfahan Central Prison.

Khodadadi had been arrested four years ago on charges of killing her husband, while Gholami was arrested five years ago for premeditated murder following a violent altercation. Both were later sentenced to death by the Iranian judiciary.

Hengaw had earlier reported the execution of three other prisoners in the same facility — Habib Haqshenas (38, father of three), Saman Talebi, both from Isfahan, and an Afghan national identified only as “Bashir” — all convicted in separate drug-related cases.

Iranian state media and judiciary-affiliated outlets have not announced these executions.
