Iranian forces arrest two Baloch children in Isfahan

Two Baloch children, Mohammadkarim Seydi and Omid Nikzad, were arrested by Iranian forces in Isfahan and transferred to an undisclosed location.
Based on information received by Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, Nikzad, 16, from Paroud in Rask County, and Seydi, 17, from the village of Bandan in Sarbaz County, both in Sistan and Baluchestan province, were detained on Monday, January 5, 2026.
According to Haalvsh, which covers developments in the Baluchistan region, Seydi had traveled to Isfahan with his mother to seek medical treatment due to her illness. While in the city, he became acquainted with another adolescent who had also traveled to Isfahan for medical reasons. The two minors were reportedly arrested around midday after leaving their place of residence.
Despite follow-up efforts, no clear information is available regarding the reasons for their arrest, any charges brought against them, or their current place of detention.
