Parents of executed Kurdish political prisoner, Ramin Hossein Panahi banned from travelling abroad

Hengaw : Following the pressure of the security agencies on the Hossein Panahi’s family , the elderly parents of the executed Kurdish political prisoner Ramin Hossein Panahi have been o banned from leaving the country.

According to a report received by Hengaw  Human Rights Organization, on Sunday, April 25, 2020 , Mirza Hossein panahi (Khalo Mirza) and Sharifa Zarini (Daya Sharifa), the elderly parents of Ramin Hossein panahi, applied for retrieving their passports but they were told  that they   have been banned from leaving the country h for five years.

"My parents were told at the passport office that their passports can’t be returned and  that they had been banned from leaving the country for five years by order of Iranian  Ministry of Intelligence," Amjad Hosseinpanahi , Ramin Hossein Panahi’s brother told Hengaw.

Hossein Panahi further stated that this was not done by a court order and that his parents were banned from leaving by a direct order from the Ministry of Intelligence.

Ramin Hosseinpanahi, a Kurdish political activist, was arrested on January 23, 2017, and transferred to Sanandaj Central Prison after 200 days in solitary confinement under physical and psychological torture.  This political prisoner was sentenced to death on January 6, 2018 by first Branch of the Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Court in Sanandaj.  This sentence was reaffirmed on April 1, 2018 by second Branch of the Supreme Court in Qom, and was referred to 4th Branch of the Sanandaj Judgment Enforcement Court for execution.

Ramin Hossein Panahi was finally executed on Saturday, August 4,2018 ,  along with two other Kurdish political prisoners, Loghman Moradi and Zanyar Moradi, in Rajai Shahr Prison in Karaj.
