Two prisoners executed in Rasht Central Prison

The death sentences of two prisoners, Mojtaba Jamshidian and Jebreil Naseri, both convicted on drug-related charges, were carried out in Rasht Central Prison (Lakan).

According to reports received by Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, on the morning of Wednesday, December 18, 2024, Jebreil Naseri, a 30-year-old father of one and resident of Mashhad, was executed in Rasht Central Prison. He had been imprisoned for four years before his execution.

Additionally, on the morning of Saturday, December 14, 2024, Mojtaba Jamshidian, a resident of Khomein in Markazi Province, was also executed in the same prison.

Both prisoners had faced similar drug-related charges, which led to their sentencing and eventual executions.

As of the time of this report, the executions have not been publicly announced by state-affiliated media or judiciary-related outlets.
