Death sentence of two prisoners carried out in Gorgan and Rasht Prisons

The death sentences of two prisoners, identified as Mousa Ahmadian and Hassan Sa’adatian, previously convicted of drug-related offenses, were carried out in the central prisons of Gorgan and Rasht.

According to a report received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, in the early hours of Tuesday, December 3, 2024, Hassan Sa’adatian, 47, was executed in Lakan Prison in Rasht. A day earlier, on Monday, December 2, 2024, Mousa Ahmadian, 45, a father of two, was executed in Gorgan Central Prison.

Both prisoners were arrested approximately three years ago and later sentenced to death by the judiciary of the Islamic Republic of Iran on charges related to drug offenses.

As of the time of this report, the executions of these two prisoners have not been announced in state media or outlets affiliated with the judiciary.
