Two Prisoners secretly executed in Kermanshah Central Prison

The death sentences of two Kurdish prisoners, identified as Meysam Farhadi and Reza Bakhtiari, were secretly carried out in Dizelabad Prison in Kermanshah (Kirmnaşan). They had previously been sentenced to death on charges of “premeditated murder.”

According to a report received by Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, at dawn on Wednesday, January 1, 2025, Meysam Farhadi, 29 years old and married, and Reza Bakhtiari, both from Kermanshah, were executed in Dizelabad Prison.

A reliable source stated that these prisoners had been arrested earlier on similar charges of premeditated murder and were ultimately sentenced to death by the judiciary.

The executions were carried out while both prisoners were denied the right to a final visit with their families.

As of the time of this report, the execution of these prisoners has not been announced by state-affiliated media, including outlets close to the judiciary.
