The execution sentence of a prisoner, identified as Behzad Bidrang, who had previously been sentenced to death on charges related to drug offenses, was carried out in Qazvin Central Prison.

According to a report received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, on the morning of Thursday, March 14, 2024, coinciding with the month of Ramadan, the execution sentence of a prisoner with the identity of Behzad Bidrang, 42 years old and a resident of  Ajabshir city, East Azerbaijan Province, was executed in Qazvin Central Prison.

As reported by the Iran Human Rights Organization, this prisoner was detained two years ago on charges related to drug offenses and was sentenced to death by the judicial system of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

Until the time of this reporting, there has been no coverage of Bezad Bidrang's execution from government-affiliated media outlets, particularly those associated with the judicial system of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
