The death sentences of two prisoners, one of whom is an Afghan citizen, were executed in Shiraz central prison. They were charged with "homicide" and drug-related offenses.

According to a report received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, on Monday, March 4, 2024, the death sentences of an Afghan citizen identified as Iman (surname unknown) and an Iranian individual identified as Mostafa Jamil Samadi were carried out in Shiraz central prison.

As per Iran Human Rights (IHR), the aforementioned Afghan citizen had been arrested and sentenced to death for a "homicide" charge by the judicial system of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

Mostafa Jamil Samadi, a 40-year-old executed prisoner, had also been previously arrested and sentenced to death for drug-related offenses.

Currently, there has been no news coverage of these executions in government media outlets, particularly those affiliated with the judicial system of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
