Death Sentence for Prisoner Carried Out in Hamadan-Iran.

Arsalan Hashemi, previously sentenced to death on drug related charges, was executed in Hamedan Central Prison.

According to a report received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, on the early morning of Sunday, April 14, 2024, the death sentence of Arsalan Hashemi, 31 years old, was executed in Hamedan (Alvand) Central Prison.

Sources familiar with the case indicate that Arsalan Hashemi, from Kermanshah (Kermashan), was arrested four years ago and sentenced to death by the judicial system of the Islamic Republic of Iran for charges related to drug crimes.

As of the time of compiling this report, the execution of this inmate has not been announced in government-affiliated media, especially outlets close to the judiciary.
