Death Sentence of a Prisoner Carried Out in Kerman Central Prison

The death sentence of a Baloch prisoner identified as Farajollah Khashi (Jamalzahi) was carried out in Kerman Central Prison. He had previously been sentenced to death on drug-related charges.

According to a report received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, at dawn on Tuesday, August 13, 2024, the death sentence of Farajollah Khashi, a 37-year-old prisoner from Khash, Sistan and Baluchestan Province, was carried out in Kerman Central Prison.

Farajollah Khashi, a father of three, was arrested in 2022 and sentenced to death by the Iranian judiciary on drug related charges.

According to Haalvsh, the death sentence of this prisoner was carried out while the Kerman Province's Pardon and Amnesty Commission was still reviewing his case.

No reports of this execution have been announced by state media, especially those affiliated with the judiciary, at the time of this report.
