Qazvin Central Prison: Death Sentence for a Prisoner Secretly Carried Out

The death sentence of a prisoner named Mohammad Ghorbani, who had previously been sentenced to death on charges of "premeditated murder," was carried out in a secretive manner in Qazvin Central Prison without the family's knowledge.

According to a report received by Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, at dawn on Tuesday, July 9, 2024, the death sentence of Mohammad Ghorbani was carried out secretly in Qazvin Central Prison, without a final meeting with his family.

This prisoner had been arrested three years ago on charges of "premeditated murder". Subsequently he was sentenced to death by the Iranian judiciary.
