Two Prisoners Executed in Shiraz Central Prison

The death sentences of two prisoners, Ali Danesh and Akbar Zandi, were carried out in Shiraz Central Prison. Both were previously sentenced to death for "homicide" by the judicial system of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

According to a report received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, on Sunday morning, September 1, 2024, the execution of 35-year-old Ali Danesh and 40-year-old Akbar Zandi, a father of two, took place in Shiraz Central Prison.

Sources indicate that both prisoners had been arrested on charges of "premeditated murder" in a joint case and were sentenced to death by the Iranian judiciary.
