Report on the Execution of a Prisoner in Shiraz Central Prison

The death sentence of Mohammad Chaman Pira, a Lur-Bakhtiari prisoner from Shiraz who was sentenced to death by the Iranian judiciary for “premeditated murder,” was carried out in Shiraz Central Prison.

According to a report received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, early on Wednesday, October 2, 2024, the execution of Mohammad Chaman Pira, a resident of Shiraz, was carried out in Shiraz Central Prison (Adelabad).

Sources indicated that the prisoner had been previously arrested for “premeditated murder” and sentenced to death by the Iranian judiciary.

To date, the news of the execution of this prisoner has not been announced in Iranian state media, particularly those affiliated with the judiciary.
