The Death Sentence of a Prisoner Carried Out in Urmia Central Prison

The death sentence of a Kurdish prisoner named Naser Mohammadi (Hengrawani) was carried out in Urmia Central Prison. This prisoner had previously been sentenced to death on charges of “premeditated murder.”
According to a report received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, at dawn on Tuesday, October 15, 2024, the death sentence of Naser Mohammadi, a resident of “Neychalan” village in the Soma Bradost region of Urmia, West Azerbaijan province was carried out in the central prison of this city.
This prisoner had been previously arrested on charges of “premeditated murder” and was ultimately sentenced to death by the Iranian judiciary.
To date, the news of the execution of this prisoner has not been announced in Iranian state media, particularly those affiliated with the judiciary.
