Iran: The death sentence of two prisoners carried out in Tabriz Central Prison

The death sentences of two Turkish prisoners from Zanjan, identified as Ali Najari and Ali-Asghar Kojuvari, were carried out in Tabriz Central Prison. They were previously sentenced to execution on drug-related charges by Islamic Republic of Iran.
According to a report received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, the death sentences of Ali Najari, 35 years old and from Aqbolagh village, a suburb of Zanjan, and Ali-Asghar Kojuvari, also from Zanjan, were carried out early in the morning of Sunday, October 13, 2024.
Ali Najari was arrested three years ago and Ali-Asghar Kojuvari two years ago on drug-related charges and were sentenced to death by the Judiciary.
To date, the news of the execution of these two prisoners has not been announced in Iranian state media, particularly those affiliated with the judiciary.
