Prisoner executed in Mashhad Central Prison

The death sentence of a prisoner named Gholamreza SeyedMohammadkhani, a resident of Mashhad was carried out in Mashhad Central Prison. He was previously convicted of “premeditated murder” by the judiciary.

According to a report received by Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, in the early hours of Monday, January 20, 2025, Gholamreza SeyedMohammadkhani was executed in Central Prison of Mashhad.

This prisoner had been arrested on charges of murder during a family dispute between his cousins and was subsequently sentenced to death by the judiciary of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

As of the time of this report, news of this execution has not been announced in state-controlled media, particularly those affiliated with the judiciary.
