Ebrahim and Gholamhossein Khalili-Far among eight executed in Mashhad Prison

With the identification of two brothers from Torbat-e Jam, Ebrahim Khalili-Far and Gholamhossein Khalili-Far, who were executed on Saturday in Vakilabad Prison, Mashhad, on drug-related charges, the total number of executions that day has risen to eight.

According to a report received by Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, at dawn on Saturday, March 1, 2025, the death sentences of the two brothers from Cheshmeh-Gol village, Torbat-e Jam County, Razavi Khorasan Province—40-year-old Ebrahim Khalili-Far and 35-year-old Gholamhossein Khalili-Far—were carried out in Mashhad Central Prison (Vakilabad Prison).

The two brothers were arrested three years ago in a joint case and later sentenced to death by the judiciary of Islamic Republic of Iran.

With these executions, the total number of executed prisoners on Saturday at Vakilabad Prison in Mashhad has now reached eight. Previously, Hengaw had reported the executions of Asieh Ghavi Cheshm, 45 years old, a mother of two; Jalal Afaq, 32 years old; and Masoud Yaghizayi (Barahouei), 33 years old, all from Khalqabad village, Mashhad; Hassan Shahraki, 29 years old, and Mehrdad Kolbe-Ali, 26 years old, both from Zahedan; and Aref Sediqpour, from Kerman.
