Two executed in Rasht Prison for drug-related crimes

The death sentences of two prisoners, Hamed Shiri from Tehran and Enayat Rahmani from Mohammadshahr, were carried out in Rasht Central Prison (Lakan Prison). He had been previously convicted on drug-related charges.

According to a report received by Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, at dawn on Thursday, February 27, 2025, Hamed Shiri, 32, from Tehran, and Enayat Rahmani, 44, from Mohammadshahr, Karaj, were executed in Rasht Central Prison.

Informed sources stated that Hamed Shiri had been in detention for three years, and Enayat Rahmani for two years.

As of the time of this report, state-affiliated media, particularly those linked to the judiciary, have not announced these executions.
