Three Afghan nationals executed in Bandar Abbas Central Prison

The death sentences of three Afghan nationals, Ezatullah Arab, Moein Arab, and Abdulbari Jahani, were carried out in Bandar Abbas Central Prison. They had previously been convicted on drug-related charges.

According to a report received by Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, at dawn on Thursday, February 26, 2025, Ezatullah Arab and Moein Arab, both from Nimruz province in Afghanistan, were executed in Bandar Abbas Central Prison.

Additionally, at dawn on Tuesday, February 25, 2025, Abdulbari Jahani, also an Afghan national, was executed in the same prison.

Ezatullah Arab and Moein Arab, both Balochs of Afghanistan, had been arrested three years ago in Faryab province in connection with a joint case on drug-related charges and sentenced to death by the Revolutionary Court. Likewise, Abdulbari Jahani had previously been arrested on similar charges and sentenced to death by the judiciary. All three prisoners had been transferred to the prison’s quarantine ward on February 24 in preparation for their executions.

As of the time of this report, news of these executions has not been announced by state media, particularly those affiliated with the judiciary.
