Six prisoners, including a woman, executed at Isfahan Central Prison

At least six prisoners, including a Lor woman named Marjan Sabzi from Khorramabad, have been executed at Isfahan Central Prison. Hengaw has verified their identities.

According to reports received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, the executions took place at dawn on Monday, April 28, 2025. The executed prisoners were Marjan Sabzi, a Lor woman from Khorramabad; Reza Khaledi, 28, an Arab man from Dezful; Naser Feyzi, 28, a Gilak man from Rasht; Rouhollah Palangi, 36, a Baloch man and father of two from Rigan, Kerman province; Mohammad Tootazehie, 26, a Baloch resident of Zahedan; and Abdolrashid Barahouei, 41, a Baloch man and father of one from Zahedan.

All six prisoners had previously been convicted on charges related to drug offenses and sentenced to death.

Sources familiar with the case stated that Marjan Sabzi, a native of Khorramabad, was arrested about five years ago on drug-related charges and later sentenced to death.

Similarly, Naser Feyzi from Rasht and Reza Khaledi, an Arab man from Dezful, had been arrested four years ago and convicted on drug-related charges. Rouhollah Palangi had been imprisoned for five years in Isfahan on similar charges and was transferred to solitary confinement on Saturday prior to his execution.

Moreover, Mohammad Tootazehie and Abdolrashid Barahouei were arrested six years ago in a joint case in Ardestan County, Isfahan Province, and subsequently sentenced to death by Iran’s judiciary system on drug-related charges.

As of the time of this report, the executions have not been officially announced by state media or outlets affiliated with Iran’s judiciary.
