Two Kurdish prisoners, Ahmadali Mahdinejad and Javad Yarbigi, executed in Nahavand and Arak Prisons

The death sentences of two Kurdish prisoners, Ahmadali Mahdinejad and Javad Yarbigi, were carried out in Iran in recent days. Both men had been previously sentenced to death on charges of “premeditated murder” and drug-related offenses, respectively.
According to information received by Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, at dawn on Wednesday, July 9, 2025, Ahmadali Mahdinejad, a resident of Sahneh in Kermanshah province, was executed in Nahavand Central Prison, Hamadan province.
Mahdinejad had been arrested two years ago and sentenced to death for premeditated murder.
Additionally, at dawn on Monday, July 7, 2025, Javad Yarbigi, a prisoner from Kermanshah, was executed in Arak Central Prison. Yarbigi had been sentenced to death for drug-related offenses.
These executions have not been publicly announced by Iranian state media or judiciary-affiliated outlets.
