Execution of Kurdish prisoner Ghanbar Morgan in Esfarayen Central Prison

The death sentence of Kurdish prisoner Ghanbar (Emad) Morgan, previously convicted of “premeditated murder” by the Iranian judiciary, has been carried out in Esfarayen Central Prison, North Khorasan Province.

According to information obtained by Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, Morgan, aged 26 and a resident of Sost village in Esfarayen County, was executed at dawn on Tuesday, October 14, 2025.

He had been arrested three years earlier on charges of premeditated murder and subsequently sentenced to death by the Iranian judiciary.

State-controlled media, including outlets affiliated with the judiciary, have not reported on his execution.
