December Protests– 21 Kurds, including one child, detained in multiple cities

At least 21 Kurds, including one child and one woman, have been detained by Iranian government forces across multiple cities, including Songhor and Kolyai, Kermanshah (Kermashan), Harsin, and Darreh Shahr, according to information received by Hengaw Organization for Human Rights.

Those detained include 12 residents of Songhor and Kolyai, seven residents of Kermanshah, Mohammadamin Gharatapeh from Darreh Shahr in Ilam Province, and Kamal Mahdavi from Harsin in Kermanshah Province. Among those detained are Artin Parvini, a 15-year-old child, and Setareh Foroughi, a woman.

Mahan Dabiripour, Pouria Bamkhasht, a university student, Artin Parvini, 15, Arash Hayati, 19, Azad Naderi, and Milad Veisi, all from Kermanshah, along with Mohammadamin Gharatapeh, 30, from Darreh Shahr, were detained by Iranian government forces during arrests carried out on Wednesday, January 7, 2026.

Kamal Mahdavi, a resident of Harsin, was detained by government forces on one of the city’s streets on Tuesday, January 6, 2026, while Hassan Rostami Namdari, from Kermanshah, and Setareh Foroughi, Reza Moradi, Mostafa Golzar, Mohsen Kamiyab, Mohammad Saifouri, Ebrahim Pishvaei, Morteza Sarhadi, Ebrahim Mozafari, Ahad Saifouri, Arman Masoudi, Fariborz Abbasi, and Yazdan Felegiri, all from Songhor and Kolyai, were detained earlier during arrests carried out on Monday, January 5, 2026.

All of the detainees were transferred to undisclosed locations, and no information has so far been made available regarding their fate or current whereabouts.
