Two prisoners executed at Gezel Hesar Prison in Karaj

The death sentences of two prisoners, identified as Mohammadshah Rashidi and Ali Davtalab, have been carried out at Gezel Hesar Prison in Karaj. Both had previously been convicted of premeditated murder and sentenced to death by the Iranian judiciary.

According to information received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, the executions were carried out at dawn on Tuesday, February 10, 2026.

Both prisoners had been arrested in earlier years on murder charges and were subsequently sentenced to death on the charge of homicide.

The executions of these two prisoners have not been officially announced by state-run media outlets, including those affiliated with the judiciary.
