Six Arab residents, including three children, detained in Ahvaz

At least six Arab residents, including three children, have been detained by Iranian security forces in the Kut Abdollah district of Ahvaz.
According to information obtained by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, the arrests took place on July 7, 2026, when security forces raided the Khazami neighborhood in Kut Abdollah without presenting warrants.
The identities of six of those detained have been confirmed as: Jamal Naseri, 12; Mojtaba Naseri, 16; Yasin Naseri, 16; Morteza Naseri, 21; Mohammad Naseri, 27; and Abu Yaser Naseri, 50.
Sources familiar with the case said security forces severely beat and humiliated the detainees in public, in full view of local residents, before taking them into custody.
During the raid, security forces also impounded Mohammad Naseri’s motorcycle and extensively damaged his personal vehicle with batons.
