Three members of Kurdish family, including child, arrested in Divandarreh

Iranian forces arrested three members of a Kurdish family, Maryam Moradian, Sirous Hamidi, and their 16-year-old daughter, Kurdia Hamidi, in Divandarreh and transferred them to Sanandaj Central Prison (Sine). Kurdia was later released, while her parents remain detained.
According to information received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, the family was arrested without warrants on Friday, August 14, 2026, in a village in Divandarreh.
Informed sources told Hengaw that Sirous Hamidi was placed in solitary confinement, while Maryam Moradian and Kurdia were held in solitary confinement in the prison’s women’s ward.
Kurdia was released after four days. Her parents remain detained without access to a lawyer or family visits.
Authorities have not disclosed the reasons for their arrest or the charges against Maryam Moradian and Sirous Hamidi.
