Following his arrest, Kamal Abdullahzadeh, a man from Saqqez serving his mandatory military service in Tehran, was sentenced to prison by the Islamic Republic of Iran's judicial system.

According to the report received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, on Saturday, September 20, 2022, Kamal Abdullahzadeh, a citizen of Saqqez, was abducted by IRI security forces in the middle of his mandatory military service period, and in recent days he was sentenced to 5 years and 8 months in prison.

According to one of the relatives of Mr. Abdullahzadeh, this sentence was issued by Branch 26 of the Islamic Revolutionary Court in Tehran, headed by Judge Iman Afshari, on the charge of acting against national security.

This citizen was abducted by the Iranian intelligence forces at the 135 Azadi police station in Tehran while he was serving his mandatory military service.

According to informed sources, Kamal Abdullahzadeh has spent more than 44 days in the solitary cell of the intelligence department's detention center. The situation of this citizen, who is currently kept in the Great Tehran Penitentiary, is unknown.
