Zhian Aghad Yusuf, a political prisoner from Turkey's Kurdistan who had been transferred to the IRGC's intelligence detention facility, was returned to the female ward of Urmia Central Prison.
 

According to the report received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, on Tuesday, June 21, 2023, Zhian Aghad Yusuf, a political prisoner from Izmir, Turkey, was once again returned to the female ward of Urmia Central Prison from the IRGC's intelligence detention facility.
 

This political prisoner was taken to the IRGC's intelligence detention facility in Urmia from the female ward of this city's Central Prison on Monday, May 29, 2023.
 

Previously, Hengaw published an exclusive report about Zhian Aghad Yusuf's conditions and wrote: Zhian Aghad Yusuf had been transferred to the female ward of Urmia Central Prison on April 22, 2023, after spending five months in the IRGC's intelligence custody center.


Zhian Aghad Yusuf, a former member of the Kurdistan Workers' Party, was arrested by the intelligence forces of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps last fall at the border of Urmia.


It should be mentioned that during her entire detention in this security facility, this political prisoner was severely tortured physically and psychologically and was denied access to a lawyer and family contact.
