Mohammad Parham Vardel, a civil activist and one of the theater activists who spent two months and twenty days in detention, was sentenced to six years in prison by the judicial system of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

According to the report received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, Mohammad Parham Vardal, a resident of Golshahr Karaj, was recently sentenced to five years in prison by Branch 1 of the Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Court of this city on the charge of "gathering and collusion against security" and to one year on the charge of "propaganda against the Islamic Republic of Iran" Which make up a total 6 years of imprisonment.

According to the Consolidation of Sentences Law, the punishment for Mohammad Parham Vardal will be equal to five years of penal servitude.

According to an informed source, Mohammad Parham Vardal was denied access to a lawyer and other basic rights during his detention.

Mohammad Parham Vardal was arrested by IRGC intelligence on September 16, 2023, and was transferred to Karaj Central Prison on October 8, 2023, and has been held there ever since.
