Hengaw: Kurdish citizen from Oshnavieh has been sentenced to imprisonment

Hengaw: Kurdish citizen from Oshnavieh has been sentenced to imprisonment on charges of membership in a Kurdish opposition party is been held three years ago in the city's central prison. The citizen named Ali Arefi who has been sentenced to 15 years in prison.

According to an informed source, Ali Arefi was arrested in 2017 by intelligence forces of Oshnavieh.

Ali Arefi was sentenced the same year to 15 years in prison by the Oshnavieh General Court on charges of "collaborating with the Kurdistan Freedom Party (PAK)," and the sentence was upheld by the provincial appeals court.

The political prisoner has been held in detention in the Oshnavieh Central Prison over the last three years without the right to leave and a few months ago he has been transferred to Urmia Intelligence service and has been severely tortured.

The news of the arrest and sentencing of the political prisoner has not been published so far, and Hengaw, as the first source has been published after three years
