Death sentence of prisoner carried out in Hamedan Central Prison

The death sentence of Meysam Nouri, a Kurdish prisoner from Qorveh was carried out in Hamedan Central Prison. He was previously sentenced to death by Iran’s judicial system on charges related to drug offenses.
According to a report received by Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, Meysam Nouri’s execution took place in the early hours of Thursday, November 21, 2024, at Hamedan Central Prison.
The prisoner had been arrested three years ago on drug-related charges and was subsequently sentenced to death by the judiciary.
Sources revealed that Nouri had been shot and injured by government forces during his arrest. Following his recovery, he was transferred to Hamedan Central Prison, where he remained until his execution.
