Death sentences of two prisoners carried out in Lakan Prison, Rasht

The death sentences of two Kurdish prisoners, Mousa Bakhshi from Asadabad and Farzad Rashidi from Kermanshah, were carried out in Lakan Prison, Rasht, one month ago. Their executions had not been reported until now.
According to reports received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, Mousa Bakhshi, 33, from Asaadabad in the district of Hamadan, and Farzad Rashidi, 37, from Kermanshah, were executed in Lakan Prison, Rasht in the early hours of Wednesday, September 11, 2024,
On charges related to drug offences, these two prisoners were sentenced to death by the judiciary of Islamic Republic of Iran.
Hengaw previously reported the death sentences of Mostafa Amani and Nasrollah Pirasteh for premeditated murder, as well as Arman Ataei for drug-related charges, carried out on the same date in Lakan Prison.
With the executions of Mousa Bakhshi and Farzad Rashidi, the total number of individuals executed in Lakan Prison on September 11, 2024, has risen to five.
