Death sentences of two prisoners carried out in Ghezel Hesar Prison

The death sentences of two prisoners, Hossein Souri and Moslem Jafari, both previously arrested and sentenced to death on drug-related charges, were carried out in Ghezel Hesar Prison.

According to a report received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, at dawn on Sunday, November 24, 2024, the death sentences of the two prisoners—Hossein Souri from Kuhdasht, Lorestan, and Moslem Jafari from Nourabad in the same province—were carried out in Ghezel Hesar Prison.

These two prisoners had previously been arrested on drug-related charges and subsequently sentenced to death by the judiciary of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

To date, then news of the execution of these prisoners has not been announced in the state media, especially those affiliated with the judiciary.
