Two Prisoners executed in Nahavand and Qazvin Prisons

The death sentences of two Kurdish prisoners, identified as Mohammad Ali Taheri and Hadi Qiasi, convicted on charges of “drug-related offenses” and “premeditated murder,” were carried out in Nahavand and Qazvin Central Prisons.
According to a report received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, at dawn on Thursday, November 28, 2024, the execution of Mohammad Ali Taheri, a 46-year-old resident of Kangavar, was carried out in Qazvin Central Prison following his conviction for drug-related offenses.
Simultaneously, the execution of Hadi Qiasi was carried out in Nahavand Central Prison. Qiasi had been arrested four years ago on charges of premeditated murder and subsequently sentenced to death by the judiciary.
As of the time of this report, the executions of these two prisoners have not been announced by state-affiliated media, particularly outlets associated with the judiciary.
