Four prisoners executed in Arak and Karaj Prisons

The death sentences of three prisoners, Ashkan Moradi, Jalal Haj Babai, and Davud Heydari, previously convicted on drug-related charges, were carried out in Karaj Central Prison. Additionally, the execution of a prisoner named Kamran Hemmati, convicted of premeditated murder, was carried out in Arak Central Prison.
According to reports received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, at dawn on Thursday, November 28, 2024, Kamran Hemmati, a prisoner from Khorramabad, Lorestan Province, was executed in Arak Central Prison. He had been sentenced to death for premeditated murder.
Furthermore, on the morning of Monday, November 25, 2024, the death sentences of Ashkan Moradi from Tehran, Jalal Haj Babai, and Davud Heydari, both from Kermanshah, were carried out in Karaj Central Prison. All three had been convicted of drug-related offenses.
As of the time of this report, the executions of these prisoners have not been publicly announced by state-affiliated media, particularly those connected to the judiciary.
