Death sentence of a prisoner carried out in Nahavand Prison

Kurdish prisoner, Ali Rahm Khani, a resident of Shahivand District in Chegini County, Lorestan Province, was executed at Nahavand Central Prison in Hamadan Province. He had been sentenced to death by the judiciary of the Islamic Republic of Iran on drug-related charges

According to a report received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, at dawn on Tuesday, December 24, 2024, the death sentence of Ali Rahm Khani, 35, a resident of Darmareh village in Shahivand District, was implemented in Nahavand Central Prison.

The prisoner had previously been arrested on drug-related charges and sentenced to death. He was transferred to the prison’s quarantine unit yesterday in preparation for the execution.

To date, the news of the execution of this prisoner has not been announced in state media, particularly those affiliated with the judiciary.
